Starts at Parkwood Studios for a 2 hour in depth presenation, then hands on working at the Desert Botanical Gardens (Fees Paid for in your Tuition)
Are you wild about wildflowers? Does macro have your brain in a big knot?
Join Colleen Miniuk-Sperry, the co-author/photographer of the recently published guidebook, “Wild in Arizona: Photographing Arizona’s Wildflowers; A Guide to When, Where, and How,” and become one of the “poppy-razzi!” This half-day session is aimed at taking your macro flower photography - and passion! - to the next level.
Through a blend of classroom and field-based sessions attendees will learn:
Bring any camera, macro or telephoto lens (extension tubes or close-up filters optional), tripod, cable release, reflector/diffuser, mat boards (black, brown, green, and blues work best)—and of course, your enthusiasm for wildflowers!
With today's camera tech anyone can get a good image if they shoot enough frames. What separates pros from amateurs however is vision and lighting. A professional can create something from nothing on demand and make it look amazing. For this workshop we’re starting off with an empty studio and a few cases of gear. Working as a team we’re lighting an epic scene, working with a model and capturing to make something from nothing. Lumix Luminary Professional Giulio Sciorio will have on hand the new GH5 for you to use or you can use your own camera or both!
MagMod VIP Justin Haugen will help you build a beginning to end Lightroom workflow and show you how to get your photos into Lightroom, to sharing your images for social media and print as quickly as possible.
This workshop is intended for beginners or people who have been using Adobe Bridge and Camera RAW, but were intimidated by the workflow of Lightroom.
In this workshop we will cover:
Hardware and File Management
Catalog Creation
Develop Module
Presets
Collections
Export
You’ll leave this workshop with a greater understanding of what a catalog is, how to manage your digital assets before you even begin using Lightroom, creating your own presets for developing your images and commonly used export settings, shortcuts, and much more.
